'Having had an operation on my back 5 years ago to remove one of my discs, I can be quite anxious about the general health and condition of my back, and still suffer with pain and muscle spasms. I have been a client of Kerry's for 4 years and would have no hesitation in recommending her to all (and have done, with excellent results). I am very appreciative of her keeping me flexible, mobile and pain free. Her professional and caring approach provides you with confidence during all treatments. Kerry has extensive knowledge of many treatments and will always treat each case on its individual requirements.' Karen Jones – Plymouth, Devon 'I have been to see Kerry regularly over the past year, and I have been really impressed with the knowledge and help that she has given me. I have been suffering with costochondritis, anxiety and other various muscular pains in my upper back for the last couple of years. I was beginning to feel really fed up and decided to go and have a massage. I discovered Kerry's site via Google and so I went to see her; impressed with her qualifications and expertise. I am really pleased that I made this decision, because she has helped me with so many of the aspects of the problems that I have been suffering with. If you are reading this and suffering with any anxiety / muscular problems, you should pop in and see Kerry, she gives you a thorough consultation when you first see her' Sophie Watts - Student (March 2011) Several months ago I had a horse riding accident which left me suffering with lower back pain. To rectify this I went to see a physiotherapist, which in the short term alleviated the pain but was not a long-tern solution. As a PhD student I spend a lot of time sat at a desk and I’m also very active with dancing. After continued suffering with my back pain, I decided that I had to try something else as my condition was wearing me down – so I went to see Kerry for a sports / remedial massage. Rather than treating the symptoms like many therapies, Kerry is treating the underlying causes, using a holistic approach. She has also provided me with exercises to strengthen specific areas to help with the back pain – and after three sessions the pain has subsided. I have recommend Kerry too many of my friends. Thanks. Jamie Davies – PhD Student, Plymouth, Devon "Kerry offers treatments in a warm friendly environment, explaining areas of work and post treatment management. This is done in a relaxed yet professional manner” Karen (nurse) in Plymouth. Kerry is a happy and friendly Professional Massage Therapist who knows every aspect of her job very well . I have seen her on a number of occasions and have always been happy with her work. I have no problem recommending her to all of you who maybe in two minds ! Pete Couch – Fire service, Plymouth, Devon "Kerry is the best massage therapist I’ve been to, that's why I keep coming back! She is really helping me with a current shoulder injury, improving mobility, and her massages are also great for general stress relief and relaxation. I recommend her to all my friends" Kate, researcher at the University of Plymouth I first went to Kerry with inside leg pain experienced after a training session (running), I was provided with training advice, more suitable stretches and then a strengthening programme. I now see Kerry regularly for sports massage and run regulary in local races. I have had no more problems with my adductors and have stronger and more flexible legs and back. Nina - Runner |
"Having discovered the delights of Kerry’s massages before my first marathon two years ago, I now wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Kerry always makes me feel relaxed whilst making sure I'm in good shape for any forth coming marathons or triathlons. While always maintaining a professional relationship I also consider Kerry as a friend as she's friendly, knowledgeable and informative in providing a first class service. Thanks Kerry! Xx"
Neil Damerell (Long distance runner and triathlete) 'I’ve been a client of Kerry’s for over two years and in that time she has treated my numerous and various muscle and soft tissue injuries as a result of my running and cycling activities. From the very start, Kerry impressed me with her extensive knowledge, professionalism and personable manner – an approach that inspired confidence in someone who had previous bad experiences of Sports Therapy Massage – whilst being completely focused on my needs. Kerry offers a holistic service and spends time explaining remedial treatments in order to address the cause and not just the symptoms. This level of service has never waned and I wholeheartedly trust Kerry for all my sports injuries matters and recommend anybody to experience this for themselves. So, for a professional, knowledgeable, relaxed and friendly service, see Kerry Hawkins'. Mark Pack - Plymouth Kerry has been treating me for more than a year now. Being a Fitness & Martial arts instructor I regularly get injuries but cannot afford to take time off of work. Without her help I would have never got back to instructing so quickly and been able to still teach the high intensity classes I am still able to. She is very understanding and reassuring, and has always gone beyond her call of duty by offering advice, emailing me information and giving me exercises to do in my own time. She is also very honest and only will only treat you as often as you need to be and not just to make money. Sherilee Green - Fitness & Martial arts instructor, Plymouth I first discovered Kerry Hawkins through personal recommendation following a back injury caused by a riding accident. Kerry was immediately able to significantly improve the mobility of my back and reduce the pain and inflammation in the area and I left that appointment much improved. Since that time, I have returned on many occasions for back and hip treatments, to tackle some pelvic discomfort during pregnancy and sometimes just as a relaxing treat. Kerry’s skills are second to none and are always delivered with the utmost professionalism but in a warm, pleasant and understated manner. I would have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Kerry to any potential client. Beverly Walton Company Secretary and PA to Chief Executive - Theatre Royal (Plymouth) Ltd I highly recommend Kerry's Massage for all your health needs, she is very professional, with a sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology. She gives the best sports massage ever! Lisa Yabsley Benwell - Yoga Instructor 'I first visited Kerry some months ago after suffering from shingles rather badly. I was left with damage to the intercostal nerves and muscles. The pain was unbelievable. Kerry focused on the trigger points, which I have to admit was painful, but since that first treatment my symptoms are more under control. I have also have the most wonderfully relaxing Indian Head massage and as suffering from tinnitus I have found this to be very helpful and relaxing. I would recommend Kerry any time for her professionalism and also her ability to listen, care and help.' Carole Shudelle - Retired |
